Nominate a First Responder

April 20 - 24

Winshape Retreat | Rome, Georgia

We are reserving 8 spots in our 5-day Sacred Impact intensive program for first responders who carry the weight of trauma, critical incidents, and ongoing stress. This Christ-centered retreat at Winshape creates space for police, fire, and EMS to process what they have experienced and move toward deeper wholeness in Christ—with no cost to them to attend.

Whether you are a friend, family member, colleague, leader, or community partner, you can nominate a first responder you believe would benefit from this kind of care.

Why this retreat matters.

First responders show up for others on some of the hardest days of their lives. Over time, repeated exposure to trauma and crisis can take a deep toll—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and relationally. Many first responders experience symptoms of PTSD, depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts, yet they often keep serving while carrying their own pain quietly.

This retreat is designed to give them a safe, confidential space to be cared for—not just for what they do, but for who they are.

About the Retreat

This 5-day intensive retreat is hosted at WinShape in Rome, Georgia, a world-class Christian retreat environment. Over the week, a small group of first responders will:

❋ Encounter Christ-Centered Care

Work with trauma-informed, Christ-centered clinicians in a confidential, small-group setting.

❋ Engage Deep Processing

Safely process the impact of trauma and chronic stress on their bodies, emotions, faith, and relationships.

❋ Gain Practical Tools

Receive practical tools for navigating trauma, finding rest, and moving toward wholeness in Christ.

❋ Build Restorative Community

Experience space for spiritual renewal, quiet, and connection with others who understand the weight of the job.

Our desire is not just short-term relief, but lasting impact that extends to their families, teams, and communities.

What Your Nomination Provides

We are seeking nominations for police, fire, and EMS personnel who would benefit from focused time away to receive care.

Through the generosity of sponsors and our scholarship fund, our goal is for each nominated first responder who attends to receive:

  • Their retreat tuition,

  • Lodging and meals for the week, and

  • Access to our clinical program at no cost to them whenever possible.

If you are interested in helping sponsor a first responder’s retreat, you can indicate that on the form below.

Who to Consider Nominating

You might think of a first responder who:

  • Serves in police, fire, or EMS (active or recently retired).

  • Has carried significant stress, loss, or critical incidents.

  • Is respected and trusted, but may seem worn down, numb, or discouraged.

  • Would be open to a Christ-centered environment where faith and trauma work are integrated.

You do not need to know their full story. A simple sense that they “carry a lot” and would benefit from intentional care is enough.
